The Yoshida Town Flood Control Center was built using architectural containers as a facility designed to minimize flood damage on the coast of Kawashiri facing Suruga Bay and the mouth of the Oigawa River. In normal times, it is used as a place for residents to relax, but during emergencies, it becomes a hub for flood prevention activities by the local fire brigade.
Six 20-ft containers. Total floor area: approximately 80㎡.
Two N3 N-Cube mobile power supply units by NTN Corporation are used to supply power to the air conditioners and the lights installed in the adjacent multipurpose room and disaster prevention warehouse. In case of a power outage, the N3 N-Cube can be transported by truck and installed in the affected area to supply power.
